Schoolboy Q Returns With First Album In 5 Years ‘Blue Lips’, Features Freddie Gibbs, Ab-Soul, Childish Major & More

Top Dawg Entertainment’s iconic emcee and songwriter Schoolboy Q, born Quincy Matthew Hanley, has finally released his first studio album in nearly 5 years. Titled “Blue Lips”, the flagrant West Coast emcee recruits various marquee rappers and TDE affiliates on his 6th full-length effort amidst releasing a slew of singles and short films from the project.

“Blue Lips” is home to 18 provocative song titles including “Pop” with American woman emcee Rico Nasty, “Movie” featuring AzChike, “oHio” with a guest verse by Freddie Gibbs, “Foux” alongside Top Dawg affiliate Ab-Soul, “Pig Feet” featuring Childish Major and the previously released rap records “Yeern 101”, “Blueslides” and “Back n Love” featuring Devin Malik, “Cooties” and “Love Birds” featuring Devin Malik & Lance Skiiiwalker.

Just before releasing “Blue Lips”, Q linked up with legendary emcee and mogul Jay-Z for a private listening session. “naw braH run dat back,” Hove reportedly said while praising Q’s 6th body of work.

Q’s album arrives amidst various TDE artists gearing up for numerous “projects” this year. 

As per Top Dawg EntertainmentGrammy-winning R&B singer SZA, Jay Rock, Isaiah Rashad, Ab-Soul, “LOVE.” singer Zacari, SiR, Ray Vaughn, Doechii, Kal Banx, Devin Malik and Lance Skiiiwalker will drop studio albums this year. 

Most recently, Top Dawg Entertainment’s breakthrough emcee Ray Vaughn and former G.O.O.D Music president & rapper Pusha T linked up on the massive single “Problems”.
