Legendary emcee, record producer & actor Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, has announced his 12th studio album. Titled “The Death of Slim Shady (COUP DE GRÂCE)”, the forthcoming rap record is set to release this summer and will mark Em’s first rap album in nearly 4 years.
The legendary Detroit-born rapper, who most recently made an appearance in Cole Bennett‘s “Doomsday Pt. 2” alongside JID, Swae Lee, Denzel Curry, Teezo Touchdown, Cordae and Slim Shady’s protégé Big Sean, shared an exclusive album trailer via Instagram to announce the “Music To Be Murdered By” follow-up.
The trailer captures a “Detroit Murder Files” host reporting on the death of Slime Shady – Eminem’s alter ego debuted by the Academy Award winning rapper on 1997’s “Slim Shady EP” and 1999’s “The Slim Shady LP”.
“Through his complex and oft-criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, the anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies,” the host says.
“The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise. Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady.”

Eminem is yet to reveal any further details about the album.
Earlier today, the “Till I Collapse” rapper further made an appearance in the NFL Draft commercial. Watch it below.
