Punjabi emcee, singer & songwriter AP Dhillon, born Amritpal Singh Dhillon, has announced the release date of his forthcoming EP “The Brownprint”. Set to release on August 30th via Republic Records, the project will feature “Real Talk” singer & Dhillon’s earliest collaborator, Shinda Kahlon.
Notably, Dhillon was originally slated to drop “The Brownprint” LP per Billboard. Dhillon is yet to comment on the abrupt decision to scrap his debut studio album. Earlier this month, the Toronto-bred emcee released the star-studded theatrical single “Old Money”.
Further, the “Problems Over Peace” singer pushed the project’s release date by a week to protest the gruesome rape of a woman resident doctor in West Bengal.
Besides announcing “The Brownprint” EP release date, Dhillon has further shared the project’s exclusive artwork and previewed the “Brownprint” single from the EP.

Dhillon’s announcement arrived just hours ahead of Steel Banglez announcing his forthcoming single with Sidhu Moose Wala and the infamous British rap MVP Fredo. Titled “Attached”, the single is set to have an imminent release via Nas‘ coveted record label Mass Appeal.
In April, Dhillon remembered the legendary slain rapper amidst his Coachella live set and appealed for justice in his infamous murder case. Watch it below.
