Indian Hip-Hop’s leading stars Calm & Encore ABJ – a.k.a. Seedhe Maut – made a stunning debut at Coke Studio Bharat. Collaborating with India’s leading folk musician Maithili Thakur and Bhojpuri cinema’s superstar Ravi Kishan, the Delhi-based emcees dropped hard-hitting bars on ‘Holi Ke Rasiya’.
Besides Seedhe Maut, Thakur and Kishan, the latest release featured Karan Chitra Deshmukhon Tabla & Percussions, Omkar Patil on Harmonium, Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash on Sarod and Sudhanshu Shome, Rakesh Deol, Swarjit Singh, Anupam Barman & Arjun Pandey as Chorus Vocalists. ‘Holi Ke Rasiya’ arrives just ahead of ‘Holi’ – India’s prominent festival of colours.

Seedhe Maut’s appearance follows Tamilian rap star Arivu and Khateeja Rahman’s ‘Sagavaasi’ ‘Udja’ by OAFF, Savera, Burrah and Jasleen. Notably, the records serve as the first set of releases from Coke Studio India after nearly eight years. Coke Studio India first premiered in India on June 7th 2011.

Coke Studio ‘Bharat’ is curated by one of India’s finest musicians and songwriters Ankur Tewari. The 10-part series first premiered on February 7th 2023 and is slated to feature over 50 artists this year.
To curate the show, Ankur Tewari built a think tank from scratch and included the legendary Indian poet, lyricist and scriptwriter Kausar Munir along with award-winning sound engineer and music producer KJ Singh.
