Griselda’s marquee emcee and fashion mogul Westside Gunn, born Alvin Lamar Worthy, has announced his 6th studio album. Titled “Still Praying”, the forthcoming LP is set to release on November 1st and will mark Gunn’s first LP since last year’s “And Then You Pray For Me”.
Notably, the announcement marks Gunn’s shocking U-turn from last year’s comments which asserted that “”And Then You Pray For Me” will be the last album of his top-tier rap career”.
Notably, the LP arrives amidst the Griselda affiliate gearing up for his long-awaited 15th mixtape “Flygod Is An Awesome God III” set to release later this year.
As per Gunn, the “Still Praying” LP will serve as a tribute to his deceased friends and family members who have passed away and “birth a new era for Griselda Records.”
“THIS IS FOR BIG DUMP, MICHELLE, GDAD, VIRGIL, CHINEGUN, SLY GREEN, KUTTER, SHOTS, BACON, BEHIND THE WALL and BUFFALO!!!!!! I promise y’all about to witness a new chapter in this shit starting NOW!!!! STILL PRAYING is the beginning of a new era of @griseldarecords I promise y’all I’m a make sure y’all never forget this shit, just support the ART and watch how life change for the better…” Gunn wrote in an Instagram post.
Gunn has further shared the exclusive “Still Praying” artwork with his fans. The cover features deceased professional wrestler Sid Eudy.
Last month, Gunn linked up with British Punjabi emcee Raf Saperra, Joey Bada$$, actor Marlon Wayans and more at Kid Super’s New York Fashion Week show.
The “Best Dressed Demons” rapper’s private meeting with Saperra arrived after the “Ruff Around The Edges” singer joined forces with Conway The Machine – another lethal Griselda affiliate – on “Rolling Thunder” from his debut EP “5 Deadly Venomz” with Mass Appeal.
