Amidst High Anticipation For OVO Wembley Arena Performance, Ammy Virk Links Up With Divine on New Single ‘Busy Getting Paid’

Indian Hip-Hop royalty and Gully Gang’s ruthless emcee Divine has linked up with Punjabi singer Ammy Virk for a new rap record. Titled “Busy Getting Paid”, the single is produced by Punjabi record producer Starboy X and captures the two artist’s far-reaching influence on Indian rap music.

“I still don’t give a f***, Still run the game, still f****** up the clubs,” Divine comes in hot with his guest verse on the hard-hitting record. Notably, this is the debut collaborative effort between the ‘Traffic Jam’ emcee and Virk. The Punjabi singer is fresh off his third solo LP “Layers”.

Released in February this year, the studio album was an affecting ten-track Punjabi Pop record. However, his latest single with Divine is a provocative departure from Pop and forays into hard-hitting rap music.

Virk & Divine are, in fact, busy getting paid.

Just ahead of the single, Ammy Virk confirmed that he is slated to perform at the OVO Wembley Arena in London. Reportedly, Virk will perform a “headlining live set” at the highly coveted venue on October 8th 2023.

In October last year, Punjabi Hip-Hop superstar Karan Aujla performed a massive live set at the OVO arena too. The legendary emcee performed some of his biggest rap records including “Gangsta” feat. YG, “Game Over”, “Let ‘Em Play” at the time.

Since then, Aujla has elevated his stature in global rap music at the highest level and released numerous top-selling records including the “Four You” EP with Ikky, a guest verse on Badshah’s “Players” and most recently, “Point of View” with Punjabi Hip-Hop superproducer Yeah Proof. Aujla is gearing up for a world tour of his own later this year.

Notably, the single arrives amidst Divine gearing up for the “Baazigar Tour”. For the brief summer tour with Middle East’s Kali Denali Music, the rapper will traverse Australia’s Melbourne and Sydney in July and New Zealand’s Auckland in June.
