Badshah seems to expand his homegrown clothing brand ‘Badfit’ with Marvel Studios. The Delhi-based rapper, producer and lyricist has announced an exclusive collaboration with Marvel for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ capsule.
While more details about Badfit x Marvel Studios are awaited, we can expect a ghetto streetwear collection inspired by raw ‘Black Panther’ aesthetics.
‘Wakanda Forever: Black Panther’ is the sequel to Marvel’s first film in the series. Directed by Ryan Coogler, the film is slated to release on 11th November, 2022. While Compton’s Kendrick Lamar curated the original motion picture soundtrack for the first film in the now two-part series, Rihanna dropped the lead single from ‘Wakanda Forever’ last week. Titled ‘Lift Me Up’, the record is dedicated to the late Chadwick Boseman who starred as the ‘Black Panther’ and King T’Challa in the 2018 film and passed away in August 2020 ‘cause of colon cancer.
The latest collaboration between Badfit and Marvel does come out as a surprise to many. However, Badshah has made big waves around the globe this year. His massive hit ‘Voodoo’ has established him as one the biggest global musicians from India. Besides featuring J Balvin in the Tainy-produced track, ‘Voodoo’ was remixed by the legendary Atlanta-based rapper Lil Baby and Tiesto.
