Breaking: 50 Cent To Perform In India After 16 Years, Adds Mumbai To ‘Final Lap Global Tour’

Queens, New York’s legendary rapper and rap business mogul 50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III, has added India to his “Final Lap Global Tour” schedule. As per the hard-hitting emcee and former G-Unit affiliate, he is slated to perform at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Mumbai on November 25th this year.

Notably, 50’s live set in Mumbai arrives as part of the massive “Final Lap Global Tour” which celebrates the 20th anniversary of his sprawling debut studio album “Get Rich Or Die Tryin”.

First announced in May this year, the “In Da Club” emcee is slated to perform at multiple venues across Europe. Reportedly, 50 will perform in Toronto, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Houston, Amsterdam, Oslo, Paris, Prague, Stockholm, Milan and more.

Further, the rapper will be joined by BET’s Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree Busta Rhymes and R&B pioneer Jeremih in North America. At the time, 50 confirmed that additional dates and guests will be revealed “soon”.

The tour begins on July 21st this year and fans will get to witness 50 amidst back-to-back live sets across the world.

However, 50 Cent’s sophomore live set in Mumbai is certainly stirring far-reaching conversations across social media. The rapper, who has often shown admiration for the Asian country, revealed his plans for the Mumbai leg of his tour.

“Namaste India, this your boy 50. I got personal news for you I’m comin’ to Mumbai, India in November, It’s going down… the “Final Lap Tour”,” 50 said in a short clip addressed to his Indian rap fans.

50 Cent’s announcement further India’s unprecedented rise in hosting global emcees for full-length live sets.

Last year, The Migos‘ former affiliate Offset performed in Bengaluru. In February this year, Hip-Hop royalty Tyga performed in Pune alongside Gully Gang affiliate Divine. Post Malone and Dreamville’s iconic rapper J.I.D. have performed in India in the past few months too.
