Breaking: Fotty Seven Surprise Drops Sophomore EP ‘But I Like It’

Indian Hip-Hop’s leading emcee and songwriter Fotty Seven – real name Ankit Gudwani – has just released his sophomore EP ‘But I Like It’. Spanning five hard-hitting rap records, the surprise EP arrives amidst high anticipation for new music from the ‘You Know The Drill’ emcee.

The ‘But I Like It’ EP is one Hip-Hop record that no one saw coming. Serving as the follow-up top Fotty Seven’s debut ‘Asli Independent’ EP, the latest project includes ‘POV Freestyle’ & ‘Kiska Hua’ released last year, ‘Confessions’ and ‘You Got This’. Besides the four releases, the project includes the self-titled ‘But I Like It’ as the EP’s intro record.

Fotty Seven’s latest project is in line with a slew of surprise drops by Delhi’s top-selling rap artists. Last week, Prabhdeep teamed up with Raftaar for a hard-hitting EP. Titled ‘PRAA’, the latest project includes Prabhdeep & Raftaar-produced ‘ABBU’, ‘BADNAM’, ‘HELLO’ and ‘TRAP PRAA’.

Notably, the ‘PRAA’ EP is Raftaar’s second surprise EP which no one saw coming. In November last year, the Kalamkaar bossman released a flagrant five-track project on his 34th birthday. Titled ‘Hard Drive Vol. 1’, the start-studded project features guest appearances by Badshah on ‘RAASHAH’, Kr$na on ‘NO CHINA’, Karma on ’36’ and Sikander Kahlon on ‘F16.

Raftaar & Prabhdeep’s debut collaborative effort was further followed by Seedhe Maut’s surprise single ’11K’. The latest single is released alongside a stunning visual treatment. Directed by Indian Hip-Hop’s young filmmakers Kya BC, Bhaktaa & Yashwithano, the ’11K’ music video is easily one of Seedhe Maut’s best set of visuals yet.

Fotty Seven rose to prominence after releasing several bangers, including ‘Boht Tej’ f/ Badshah, ‘Kya Haal Hai Bro?’, ‘Tu Hai Kaun?’ f/ Raga, ‘Abey Yaar’ f/ Bali and more, in the Indian Hip-Hop scene. With a distinct voice and a groovy pen game, the young emcee is renowned for his catchy hooks and incredible sounds.

Fotty Seven’s ‘You Know The Drill’ with Def Jam Recordings India continues to be one of the most influential tracks in Delhi’s burgeoning Hip-Hop scene. Featuring Ellde Fazilka, the music video is shot on the streets of Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid in Delhi and Chandigarh by critically acclaimed filmmaker Azar Strato from Russia
