After much delay, American rapper, record producer and songwriter Kid Cudi, born Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, has finally announced a confirmed release date for his forthcoming rap LP “Insano”. As per the legendary emcee, his ninth studio album is set to release on January 12th.

Notably, Cudi’s album might just compete with Playboi Carti’s long-awaited album “Music” upon its release. While the iconic ATL rapper is yet to announce the release date of his forthcoming LP, it might drop before January 14th – the date at which Carti begins his massive “Antagonist” world tour alongside Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely & Homixide Gang.

In August this year, Kid Cudi announced that “Insano” would be released on September 15th and released 4 distinct artworks for the album.

At the time, the artworks featured two self-portraits and two abstract digital art reminiscent of Cudi’s Emmy-nominated animated motion picture “Entergalactica” and stirred unprecedented anticipation about Cudi’s long-awaited LP.

However, it was pushed back to January by the rapper citing that he “wants to make sure that everything lines up and I give y’all the best version of myself.” Well, that’s happening now.

Besides announcing the release date, Cudi premiered a short clip of his flagrant tour life. Watch it below via Meta.

Ahead of the forthcoming album, Cudi is two lead singles deep. Last month, the rapper linked up with Travis Scott and Pharrell Williams on “At The Party”.

That single was preceded by Cudi releasing “ILL WHAT I BLEED”. Produced by Karl Rubin, Jean Batiste & Cudi himself, the hard-hitting rap record was preceded by two new songs released exclusively via Soundcloud. However, the latter songs won’t make the cut on “Insano”.

Look out for “Insano” LP by Kid Cudi on January 12th 2024.
