Legendary slain rapper and songwriter Sidhu Moose Wala‘s 5th posthumous rap single “Drippy” has razed through Billboard Hot 100 Canada Charts. Replacing Atlanta rap superstar 21 Savage’s sprawling rap record “Redrum” from his first album in nearly six years “American Dream”, the single has debuted with the 9th spot on the coveted Billboard charts.
Notably, the single features a guest verse by the Toronto-bred “Ballin” rapper AR Paisley and is the 4th such posthumous single to chart on either Billboard Canada or India charts at top-tier spots.
Besides the MXRCI-produced record, Moose Wala’s previously released posthumous singles “Watch Out” featuring “Racks & Rounds” emcee Sikander Kahlon, “Chorni” alongside Indian rap royalty Divine and “Mera Na” featuring Afrorap & Dancehall superstar Burna Boy and British superproducer Steel Banglez have razed through Billboard Canada and India charts in the past.
While Moose Wala’s posthumous rap record “Drippy” continues to stir major waves across Billboard and streaming platforms, Indian Punjabi rap music now gears up for Moose Wala’s forthcoming collaborative efforts with London’s rap royalty Fredo and Stefflon Don.
Notably, Moosa is set to release two major posthumous rap records – “Attached” alongside Steel Banglez & British emcee Fredo, who is now sentenced to 5 years in Dubai for “drug possession“, and “Dilemma” featuring the iconic woman emcee Stefflon Don.
Reportedly, “Attached” might feature on Steel Banglez’s forthcoming sophomore album set to release later this year.
Upon its release, “Drippy” arrived alongside a provocative visual cut directed by influential Punjabi filmmaker Navkaran Brar. You can watch it below.
