Earlier this morning, Punjabi Hip-Hop/Rap & Pop superstar AP Dhillon, born Amritpal Singh Dhillon, shut down the Coachella Festival.

The iconic Gurdaspur-born emcee, who recently linked up with legendary British Grime MVP Stormzy on the “Problems Over Peace” single, performed his debut live set at the three-day festival alongside global pop & rap heavyweights including Ice Spice, SkeptaKen Carson and Destroy Lonely of the Playboi Carti camp, Lil Uzi VertCoi Leray and this year’s headliners Lana Del Ray, Tyler, The Creator and Doja Cat.

Across the historic concert, AP performed some of his biggest rap & pop records including “Brown Munde”, “True Stories”, career classics “Takeover” featuring Gurinder Gill & AR Paisley, “Drip”, “Summer High”, “Toxic” & more.

Amidst his Coachella debut, the “Real Talk” rapper & producer further remembered legendary slain rapper Sidhu Moose Wala. While the trailblazing rappers didn’t work on a rap record together, they shared a close relationship throughout Moosa’s sprawling career.

Earlier this year, Grammy-winning Afrofusion & Dancehall singer Burna Boy paid his tribute to Moosa during his massive concert in Toronto. The “Big 7” rapper, who remembered “his brother” during his historic concert at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London last year too, further rapped Moosa’s Punjabi rap classic “East Side Flow” at the time.
