Global Rap’s influential tall figure and cannabis business mogul Wiz Khalifa, real name Cameron Jibril Thomaz, has made a slight return with a hard-hitting mixtape. Titled “See Ya”, the massive 25-track rap record features Khalifa’s Taylor Gang affiliates Chevy Woods, Young Deji and Lil Vada.
However, the “See Ya” mixtape is driven largely by the legendary emcee’s slick bars on his extraordinary rap life in Los Angeles. Whether the latest mixtape will further his stature as one of the finest North Dakota-bred emcees to do it remains to be seen. An early listen hints at another uncaring and easy rap record by the “Khalifa Kush” rapper.
Notably, this is the 21st mixtape of Khalifa’s career. In fact, ever since the earliest days of his career, Khalifa has released influential Hip-Hop mixtapes which continue to stand tall against mixtape heavies including DJ Drama’s “Gangsta Grillz” mixtape series.
Over the years, Khalifa has released “Burn After Rolling”, “Star Power”, “Kush & Orange Juice” and the top-selling “Cabin Fever” mixtape series among others.
Notably, the mixtape arrives ahead of Wiz Khalifa’s massive U.S. tour with the iconic Snoop Dogg. Titled the “High School Reunion” tour, Khalifa and the “Still Dre” rapper will be joined by Hip-Hop veterans Warren G, Too $hort and another multi-millionaire cannabis entrepreneur and rapper Berner.
Further, the star-studded roster will be joined by special guest DJ Drama.
Ahead of the ‘See Ya’ mixtape, Wiz Khalifa premiered the visuals for “Close Frame” – the 9th track on the affecting rap record. Watch it here.
