Breaking: Young Thug Teases New Album ‘Business Is Business’ F/ Metro Boomin, Lil Durk, Coi Leray, Chance The Rapper & More

Atlanta’s legendary incarcerated emcee, songwriter and music business mogul Young Thug, born Jeffrey Lamar Williams, has just teased what seems to be his third studio album.

Perhaps, titled “Business is Business”, the album just might be Young Thug’s first release since he was incarcerated on May 9, 2021, under flagrant Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, oftentimes referred to as “RICO”, charges.

Notably, Thugger’s abrupt announcement arrives within hours of his Young Stoner Life labelmate Gunna, born Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, dropping his fourth studio album “A Gift & A Curse”.

Young Thug made the announcement in an extraordinary fashion. The YSL bossman, who has left an unprecedented impact on modern Hip-Hop sound and continues to influence emcees across the globe, took to social media to share a unique QR code. The code leads the user to “businessisbusiness.biz” and shows a countdown pointing towards next Friday.

The code along with the caption “Business is Business @youngthug” was further shared by Hip-Hop superproducers Metro Boomin and Wheezy, Lil Durk, Chance The Rapper, Coi Leray, 808 Mafia Producer Southside, London On Da Track and Free Bandz’s Doe Boy. Given Thugga’s longtime association with ATL’s Free Bandz, a feature from Future on the alleged rap record can’t be ruled out.

While fans continue to speculate that this could be Young Thug’s third studio album, some disagree and are of the opinion that the countdown is in fact leading to Thug’s release from Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail.

However, given the serious RICO charges levelled against Thugger, which includes a 56-count indictment that seeks to portray YSL as a criminal gang and not a Hip-Hop consortium, it seems unlikely that he’ll be released from prison at such an abrupt notice.

Look out for Young Thug’s next move on Friday, June 23, 2023.
