Byg Byrd & Tarna Gear Up For ‘Nothing To Prove’ EP

Iconic Punjabi Hip-Hop record producer Byg Byrd is gearing up for a new EP. Titled ‘Nothing To Prove’, the four-track EP is Byrd’s collaborative effort with Brampton-based Punjabi emcee Tarna and serves as the follow-up to Brown Boys record label’s recent release with Fast Money.

The ‘So High’ producer took to Instagram to drop the official four records long tracklist – ‘No Stress’, ‘Madonna’, ‘Hail’ and ‘Legacy’ – and the exclusive artwork. Check them out below.

Byg Byrd – real name Maninder Singh Kalyan – has been gradually building his very own Brown Boys label imprint. The label, which first started in a close association with the late Punjabi rap superstar Sidhu Moosewala, is home to iconic Hip-Hop acts Sunny Malton and Big Boi Deep. Besides ‘So High’, Bygbrd’s other notable singles with Moosewala include ‘Eastside Flow’, ‘Dawood’, ‘Selfmade’, ‘Devil’, ‘My Block, ‘B-town’ and ‘Homicide’.

However, after a personal rift that went public in 2020, Moosewala and Brown Boys’ relationship took a massive hit. The whole controversy centred around ‘My Block’. Bygbrd and Sunny Malton had accused Moosewala of not paying them the production fee for the hit song in a public social media frenzy. To make matters even worse, the single was leaked ahead of its release.

Look out for the ‘Nothing To Prove’ EP by Byg Byrd & Tarna.
