Chicago’s Lil Durk Teases New Album

Chicago, Illinois-based legendary emcee and lyricist Lil Durk – real name Durk Derrick Bank – has teased the follow-up to his recent joint project with Only The Family. Released in December last year, ‘Only The Family – Lil Durk Presents: Loyal Bros 2’ LP was a star-studded effort and featured Atlanta’s Hip-Hop superstar Future on ‘Mad Max’, Trippie Redd on ‘Who You Are’ and brought together the leading voices behind the Chicago-based group including Doodie Lo, OTF Boonie Moe, Lil Law, Keno, Booka600, Chief Wuk, Deeski, OTF Chugg, C3 and more.

However, Durk is now seemingly gearing up for his solo LP. “I’m about to drop the album midnight if y’all want idc” Durk said on his Instagram signalling his eighth studio album in the works. While the statement may come off as blatant and self-absorbing at first, Durk holds massive influence in the global Hip-Hop scene and can drop LPs at will.

Durk dropped his top-selling seventh studio album ‘7220’ last year. The massive 31-track LP sold over 125,000 equivalent album units in its first week and debuted at the top spot on Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. The album featured guest appearances from A Boogie With Da Hoodie, Ella Mai, EST Gee, Future, Gunna, Moneybagg Yo, Summer Walker and Morgan Wallen.

Look out for Lil Durk’s eighth studio album this year.
