Legendary Hip-Hop filmmaker and videographer Cole Bennett has finally announced the lead single from his highly anticipated ‘Lyrical Lemonade’ Hip-Hop album. Reportedly, the single is slated to feature Bennett’s longtime collaborator Juice WRLD.
Ever since Cole Bennett made the announcement on Twitter, Hip-Hop listeners began storming his Twitter about the posthumous effort with Juice WRLD and his upcoming album. Notably, a brief trailer hints that the track might be a sampled remix of Eminem’s “Role Model” – the 9th track on the legendary emcee’s sophomore studio album and major label debut “The Slim Shady LP”.
Bennett, who has filmed and released some of the finest visual works in Hip-Hop including “Strike (Holster)” and “Poland” by Lil Yachty, “Doja” by Central Cee, “What Happened To Virgil” by Lil Durk featuring Gunna, “Who Want Smoke” by Nardo Wick featuring 21 Savage, Lil Durk and G Herbo and more under the ‘Lyrical Lemonade’ banner, has confirmed that the LP’s lead single drops this week.
First founded in 2013 as an internet blog on rap music, Bennett has continued to expand the ‘Lyrical Lemonade’ brand ever since. During a recent sit-down with Our Generation Music, Bennett spoke about his debut LL project.
“Obviously, the Lyrical Lemonade album has always been in discussion. It would be a compilation album with a lot of the artists that we work with, just creating different vibes and bringing different worlds together… I was so DIY and anti-industry, I never wanted to do it because the timing was wrong.” Bennett said.
“I hated labels for a long time. It rubbed me the wrong way. I just knew the time wasn’t right… I’m big on timing with everything. If I feel even the tiniest gut feeling in the opposite direction, I follow it,” he said further.
Just ahead of the lead single, Cole Bennett premiered the “whyrush?” short film. Released via Lyrical Lemonade, the film features Teezo Touchdown, Alexis Carey, David Alarcon, Hayden Lam, Omar Zaki and KentuckyboyTyler. You can watch it here.
