Compton’s legendary emcee, record producer & songwriter Kendrick Lamar is set to headline Apple Music NFL Super Bowl LIX Half-Time Show in 2025.
The notorious “Not Like Us” rapper, who got involved in a lethal rap feud with Toronto rapper Drake earlier this year, will perform in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday, 9th February 2025, and will direct the historic performance alongside pgLang’s Dave Free.
“Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one,” Lamar said about the forthcoming performance produced by Roc Nation, DSP and Apple Music.
Roc Nation’s founder and legendary emcee Jay-Z asserted that Lamar’s performance will be remembered and “its impact felt for years to come”.
“Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer. His deep love for hip-hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come,” the “American Gangster” rapper said.
