India’s rap royalty Divine has just previewed a second Hit-Boy production on his third studio album ‘Gunehgar’. Titled ‘Flex Kar’, the preview showcases the iconic Gully Gang rapper grooving in a sea-facing apartment alongside Joel D’Souza A.k.a. JD – the filmmaker behind the stunning visuals of ‘Kohinoor’, ‘Satya’ and most recently ‘Gunehgar’.
Divine – real name Vivian Wilson Fernandes – is slated to drop his third studio album ‘Gunehgar’ anytime this month. Earlier this week, Culture Haze wrote at length about his upcoming record. Read it here.
This isn’t the first time that Hit-Boy has produced for Divine on the album. The lead single, which took the Indian hip-hop scene by storm, ‘Gunehgar’ was produced by the California-based hitmaker as well.
On ‘Flex Kar’, Divine is seen celebrating his legacy and flexes how far he has come as an emcee from Mumbai’s slums. Over the years, the rapper has become one of the biggest acts in Indian hip-hop and has worked with Nas, the late Sidhu Moosewala, Dutchavelli and more.
Until now, Divine has confirmed six tracks on the album namely ‘Gunehgar’ and ‘Flex Kar’ (prod. Hit-Boy), ‘Akela’ (prod. Phenom), ‘Traffic Jam’ (prod. iLL Wayno), ‘Blessings’ and ‘Hitman’ (prod. Statik Selektah).
