Divine Remembers Rap Pioneer Sidhu Moose Wala During Massive Live Set In Ahmedabad

Indian Hip-Hop royalty took centre stage at perhaps the biggest live event in India on May 29. Performing a massive live set in front of over 100,000 fans at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, the Gully Gang bossman remembered the late Hip-Hop pioneer Sidhu Moose Wala on his first death anniversary.

As reported earlier, the “Kohinoor” rapper became the first non-film independent artist to perform at Indian Premier League Final Match ceremony alongside King. The Mumbai-based emcee stormed the Ahmedabad stadium and remembered the late rapper who was shot dead on May 29 last year.

This isn’t the first time that Divine has remembered Moosa during his live set. Ever since releasing his third LP “Gunehgar”, Divine has toured across India and given Moose Wala his flowers. Even during his Gunehgar album launch concert in Mumbai last year, the emcee gave Moosa his flowers alongside Wazir Patar.

While Divine has released his third LP “Gunehgar”, fans are further anticipating a rather Deluxe version of the album. Reportedly, Divine’s unreleased record with Moose Wala, titled “Chorni”, is slated to appear on the album’s deluxe. Listen to the hard-hitting preview here if you haven’t yet.

Look out for Divine & Sidhu Moose Wala’s hard-hitting record this year.
