Drake & 21 Savage Collab Album ‘Her Loss’ Releasing Next Week

Champagne Papi, better known as Drake and 21 Savage have announced that a collaborative project is on the way. Releasing as early as next week (on 28th October, 2022), the announcement was made through the visuals of ‘Jimmy Crooks’ – one of the biggest hits from Drake’s latest studio album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’.

Directed by Mahfuz Sultan, the music video showcases Drake’s part from the track and suddenly turns to the new album announcement. “HER LOSS – ALBUM BY DRAKE AND 21 SAVAGE – OCTOBER 28, 2022.” the message reads.

The announcement and the music video’s release comes as a surprise for many. While fans were anticipating the release of ‘Jimmy Crooks’ music video ever since the album release in June this year, Drake didn’t drop a single hint that it was actually on the way or in production.

Jimmy Crooks’, the last record on Drake’s seventh studio album, stands out in an album with House and Baltimore Club sounds at large. The collab project sure looks promising.

Notably, the two hip-hop icons aren’t new to collaborative projects either. Drake had collaborated with Atlanta-based rapper Future on ‘What a Time to be Alive’ Mixtape in 2016. While 21 Savage has collaborated with Metro Boomin on three hit projects. Two of them are ‘Savage Mode I’ released in 2016 and ‘Savage Mode II’ released in 2020.

21 Savage and Metro Boomin had also joined forces with the former Migos member Offset for ‘Without Warning’ in 2017. The 10-track album featured the iconic ‘Ric Flair Drip’, ‘Ghostface Killers’ featuring Travis Scott and more.

‘Jimmy Crooks’ was a massive hit across the globe and led to the ‘Best Collaboration’ nomination for Drake & 21 Savage at the 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards. However, the award went to Future for ‘Wait for You’ featuring Tems and Drake. In fact, Drake was nominated three times in the ‘Best Collaboration’ category with ‘Way 2 Sexy’ featuring Atlanta’s Future and Young Thug as well.

Unless its yet another departure from rap, which looks highly unlikely at this point, Drake just might release one of the finest Hip-hop projects this year with 21 Savage. ‘Her Loss’ is awaited.
