Delhi’s influential underground Hip-Hop/Rap and trap emcee, record producer and songwriter DRV and drill emcee Flyboy S have finally premiered the “Teachers” music video. The visuals arrive nearly seven months after the single was first released in January this year.
Notably, this is Flyboy & DRV’s debut collaborative effort. The incendiary single, which was first released on January 31st 2023, is Flyboy’s most crucial rap record yet and features a guest verse by the “Nakshatra” rapper.
The track furthers Flyboy’s brief yet affecting discography of various hard-hitting singles including “NAWFSIDE”, “Cloud Sessions Freestyle”, “Wrongright” and “Neva Low”.
For DRV, the music video arrives amidst his abrupt departure from explicit rap music, which often cuts across the rapper’s trap life and his passive-aggressive lyricism, on “Tere Saath (I Feel Good)”.
Interestingly, this is the second such visual treatment by DRV which arrives after months of releasing the record itself. In June, DRV premiered the hard-hitting visuals for “Coochie Wet” – the 4th record on DRV’s sophomore 13-track magnum opus “Nakshatra”.
It was preceded by DRV’s hard-hitting collaborative effort with underground record producer BabyWXVE and BoyBlanck. Titled “Zameen Se”, the single serves as the lead record of the artist’s upcoming mixtape “Multani Mitti” with the Noida-bred emcee.
Further, DRV has announced new music. Slated to release this Friday, whether the towering emcee and record producer is gearing up for a single or perhaps a multi-track effort remains to be seen.
