India’s rap royalty Divine previewed two records off his upcoming studio album ‘Gunehgar’. On an Instagram Live, the hip-hop trendsetter spoke at length about what the fans can expect from the record as well.

The Mumbai-based Gully Gang rapper has dropped two lead singles from his third studio album – Hitboy produced ‘Gunehgar’ and Phenom produced ‘Akela’.

While Divine didn’t reveal much details about the first snippet, which is titled ‘Hitman’, it certainly looks promising and further adds to the hype. Divine has also shared details about his upcoming ‘album release concert’ in Mumbai scheduled to be held on 13th November.

“I’m gonna play… if not the whole album, at least 70-80% of the album… all my favourite songs on the album” He said.

Divine has further confirmed that there are gonna be some “mad features” on the album as well. He has already worked with some of the finest emcees in the world including Dave East, Pusha T, the late Sidhu Moosewala, Tion Wayne and more. “My album is very feature heavy.. its some other artists I always wanted to work with. Some other artists who wanted to work with me.” Divine said.

Notably, Divine and his entire Gully Gang team are still working on the album. The rapper went on to say that he’ll go on an India tour after the album is released. The tour will be “announced soon”, the ‘Punya Paap’ rapper confirmed.

However, the highlight remains not one but the two unreleased snippets. While ‘Hitman’ is a hard-hitting old-school banger from the looks of it, ‘Blessings’ – the second snippet that the rapper shared – is a chill hip-hop track where Divine takes a departure from his usual brash and gangsta style of rapping.

More details about Divine’s ‘Gunehgar’ are awaited. Till then, check out ‘Gunehgar’ and ‘Akela’ from his upcoming album if you haven’t yet.
