Frank Ocean Announces New Album at Coachella 2023

Long Beach, California’s Frank Ocean, born Christopher Edwin Breaux, has announced his first full-length album in 7 years. Headlining the third day of the Coachella music festival, Ocean performed a slew of records and confirmed that a new LP is in the works during the performance.

Notably, this is Ocean’s first live set in six years. Ocean has been out of public appearances since the release of “Blonde” LP and “Endless” mixtape. However, the ‘Novacane’ singer now looks set to return to music and perhaps, more headlining sets across the globe. Amidst his live set, Ocean talked about his plans about releasing a new album. Watch it here if you haven’t yet.

Ocean fell short of providing any further details about the long-awaited LP. During his Coachella set, the reclusive singer performed a slew of records from his riveting body of work. His setlist included his own songs “Godspeed,” “Wiseman,” “Self Control,” “Nikes,” and “Nights and reworked covers of Willie Nelson’s “Night Life” and the Isley Brothers’ “(At Your Best) You Are Love.”

Interestingly, Ocean’s set was pulled out of live streaming at the last minute. While the reasons for it remain unclear, the announcement left fans disappointed and dismayed at not being able to watch him perform live via Coachella on YouTube.

Look out for Frank Ocean’s third studio album.
