‘Her Loss’ by Drake & 21 Savage Delayed

The highly anticipated collaborative effort by Drake and 21 Savage has been delayed. After the project was announced during ‘Jimmy Cooks’ music video, the record has been delayed atleast by a week.

The record was originally supposed to release on 28th October. Now, the album will be released on Friday, Nov. 4.

While the delayed release might have disappointed some fans, Drake has confirmed that his day-one producer and a member of the OvO crew, Noah “40” Shebib has contracted coronavirus. This has put a hold on the album’s production and mixing.

Champagne Papi

“40” has produced some of the biggest hits for Drake. In fact, Drake’s debute and Sophomore Album, ‘Thank Me Later’ and Take Care’ were produced by the Toronto-based producer. After his top-notch work on Drake’s first two albums, 40 has produced every record that Drizzy has put out ever since. This includes ‘If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late’, ‘Views’ and the recently released house-music inspired ‘Honestly, Nevermind’.

While Drake has released a collaborative project ‘What A Time to Be Alive’ w/ Future (2015) before, 21 Savage had collaborated with Metro Boomin and Offset for the star-studded ‘Without Warning’ (2017) and ‘Savage Mode’ (2016) and ‘Savage Mode II’ (2020). This would be a debut for Drake x 21 Savage. With “40” on the production, the project sure looks promising.
