Indian rap mogul, entrepreneur and pioneer Raftaar, born Dilin Nair, has turned 35.
The legendary emcee, recognised for his pervasive influence in Indian rap music through coveted Hip-Hop record label Kalamkaar and his former association with Hip-Hop supergroup Mafia Mundeer, has further shocked fans with a huge drill single “Woh Raat” featuring Kr$na.
On his 34th birthday last year, Raftaar abruptly shocked his fans with the iconic “Hard Drive Vol. 1” EP featuring another Indian rap superstar Badshah and featured productions by DXOR, Track Pros, Karachi-based superproducer UMAIR, YOUNGWILLY, Harm Sandhu and Raftaar himself.
Released via Mass Appeal India, “Woh Raat” furthers Raftaar’s notorious and provocative surprise releases this year. In February, the veteran rapper linked up with marquee Indian emcee Prabh Deep on flagrant “PRAA” EP.
Notably, Raftaar’s massive association with Mass Appeal India arrives amidst his incendiary guest verse on KSHMR’s debut Indian Hip-Hop album “Karam”. Reportedly, Raftaar & the iconic superproducer and DJ KSHMR linked up on “Legacy” – the 23rd rap record on his massive 24-track LP.
