Amidst a conversation with the award-winning journalist, cultural critic, and author Gerrick Kennedy, Michael B. Jordan has announced that Dreamville will be executive producing the Creed III soundtrack.
“Established by Jermaine Cole, better known as J. Cole, the Grammy-nominated artist and producer. With a growing roster of talent, the label is home to such artists as Bas, J.I.D, Ari Lennox, EarthGang, Lute, Omen, Cozz and brilliant producers like Cedric Brown, Ron Gilmore, Elite and more.”
The ‘Off Season’ emcee founded Dreamville in 2007. Cole was producing his debut LP mixtape ‘The Come Up’ at the time. Over the years, Dreamville has emerged as one of the finest record labels in the west and has released top-notch projects such as ‘The Forever Story’ by J.I.D, ‘Ghetto Gods’ by Earthgang and Cole’s finest LPs including ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive’, ‘KOD’ and the recently released ‘The Off-Season’.
Creed III is an American sports drama which is slated to arrive in theatres on March 3rd 2023. The film stars Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, Jonathan Majors, Wood Harris, Florian Munteanu and Phylicia Rashad and will serve as the ninth film in the Rocky franchise.

Ever since Michael B. Jordan joined the Creed series in Rocky’s cinematic universe, its soundtrack began to feature stunning Hip-Hop sounds. Creed’s debut soudtrack featured guest appearances by the rap pioneer Tupac Shakur or ‘2 Pac’, Future, Meek Mill, Tory Lanez, The Roots, Nas, Donald Glover, Vince Staples, and more. The soundtrack was released on November 20th 2015.
Notably, the soundtrack to the second Creed film, titled “Creed II: The Album” witnessed an even higher influence of rap music. Executive produced by Mike Will Made It, the soundtrack, released on November 18th 2018, featured guest appearances by Nas, Lil Wayne, Crime Mob, Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Pharrell Williams, A$ap Rocky, A$ap Ferg, J. Cole and more.
