Jadakiss – real name Jason Terrance Phillips – joined forces with DJ Khaled for a freestyle. However, the record isn’t a part of another star-studded Khaled album. The iconic Yonkers, N.Y. based emcee drops his bars for Khaled’s latest Air Jordan 5’s commercial. Titled We The Best 5’s, Khaled had first showcased the collaboration in April this year. The salmon-colored kicks are slated to drop on November 28.
The commercial – which falls just short of 2:30 minutes – showcases Jadakiss giving out a bar-by-bar description of the latest We The Best X Air Jordan Collaboration. “They ain’t believe in us, MJ did.” Khaled asserts before letting Jadakiss takes over the commercial.
“No matter what, all I ever knew was keep flowing/ Air Jordan 5 We The Best keep going/ Because they didn’t believe in him, only thing you see me in/ The colorway’s amazing, the leather’s premium / look up at the the scoreboard, they gon’ think i’m cheatin’/ can’t rush greatness, so we still in meetin’ ” Jadakiss raps over the Khaled-produced beat reminiscent of ‘EVERY CHANCE I GET’ f/ Lil Baby & Lil Durk.
