Global Hip-Hop’s iconic emcee and lyricist Tyler The Creator – real name Tyler Gregory Okonma – has revealed his top picks for what he thinks were the greatest tracks of this year.

Known for traversing genres himself within rap music – from experimental trap to bass-influenced Hip-Hop 808s – Creator’s list includes his collaborative effort with Pharrell Williams & 21 Savage ‘Cash In, Cash Out’, Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Worldwide Steppers’ & ‘Saviour’ from his fifth LP ‘Mr. Morales & the Big Steppers’ and Steve Lacy’s ‘Buttons’ from his recently released LP ‘Gemini Rights’.

Tyler’s list follows Jay-Z’s top year-end picks which featured 41 tracks on Tidal. The 41-track mix captures the track that HOV thinks influenced his listening catalogue and features numerous Hip-Hop records alongside R&B, Afrobeats, reggaeton, pop and more.

Leading the playlist is Philadelphia’s Lil Uzi Vert. The iconic ‘XO Tour Life’ emcee released ‘Just Wanna Rock’ in November this year. The track is followed by a slew of marquee artists including Ab-Soul, Burna Boy, Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, Metro Boomin, Future, Drake, 21 Savage, SZA, Lil Yachty, Vince Staples, Lil Baby, YSL’s Gunna & Young Thug, Kodak Black, Lil Durk, Nas, Pusha T and more.

Coincidentally, ‘Neck & Wrist’ featured on HOV’s playlist too.
