Jay-Z Returns To Instagram After A Two-Year Hiatus, Premiers ‘The Book of Clarence’ Movie Trailer

Brooklyn’s legendary rapper and business mogul Jay-Z, born Shawn Corey Carter, has returned to Meta’s social media platform Instagram after a two-year hiatus.

Reportedly, the founder of the iconic Hip-Hop record label Roc Nation, who is notoriously famous for keeping a low profile despite being one of the most influential rap artists and African-American businessmen of our times, made his way back to IG to promote his forthcoming film.

Titled “The Book of Clarence”, the film is executive-produced by HOV himself and casts Lakeith Stanfield, Anna Diop, David Oyelowo, Micheal Ward, Omar Sy, Teyana Taylor, Caleb McLaughlin, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Eric Kofi-Abrefa. Notably, the film is written and directed by Jeymes Samuel.

While Jay-Z’s IG is expected to stay dormant considering his billion dollars worth of rap life outside social media, the legendary rapper has made been involved in extremely high-profile public affairs this year.

The “Blueprint” rapper recently pulled up at Pharrell Williamshistoric debut as Louis Vuitton’s Creative Director in Paris. It was preceded by Hov’s intimate live set during Louis Vuitton’s Jean Michel Basquiat X Andy Warhol exhibit in Paris. Jay-Z even went on to premiere the “New York Concept De Paris” single.

Most recently, Roc Nation installed “The Book of HOV” at the Brooklyn library to celebrate the life and work of Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter. The exhibition “features never-before-seen images, art and ephemera from the artist’s archives, providing an unparalleled look at an extraordinary life and career.”

Look out for “The Book of Clarence” film executive-produced by Jay-Z in January 2024.
