New York’s legendary Hip-Hop producer JPEGMAFIA & Detroit’s influential emcee Danny Brown have released their debut collaborative effort. Titled ‘Scaring the Hoes’, the 14-track alternative rap classic features just one guest appearance from redveil and clocks in at just over 36 minutes.
However, the latest LP is a riveting commentary on sex, intoxication and rehab and addresses digital cultures – cryptocurrency, social media and body image. For JPEGMAFIA, the latest LP serves as the follow-up to his 2021 LP “LP!” while for Brown, this is his first full-length project since 2019’s ‘uknowwhatimsaying¿’ LP featuring Run The Jewels, Blood Orange and JPEGMAFIA himself.
The tracklist includes turbulent records produced entirely on SP 404 and features unusual song titles including “Lean Beef Patty”, “Garbage Pale Kids”, “Orange Juice Jones”, “Run The Jewels”, “Jack Harlow Combo Meal” and “Where Ya Get Ya Coke From?”.
