Punjabi Hip-Hop’s iconic emcee and lyricist Karan Aujla has announced new music. The legendary ‘Geetan Di Machine’ – a Punjabi phrase used for his wide repository of hard-hitting rap records – has confirmed that he is slated to drop his first EP this year.
Earlier today, Aujla took to Instagram to ascertain Hip-Hop fans across the globe that a new EP is in the works and he’ll drop the EP’s artwork on his birthday.
Born on January 18th, 1997, the Ludhiana-born California-based rapper rose to global stardom with his music. Aujla is behind some of the most influential rap records in Indian Hip-Hop including the recently released ‘Players’ with Indian rap superstar Badshah, ‘On Top’, ‘Game Over’ and the ‘Way Ahead’ EP.
As per many, Aujla is the finest lyricist and emcee of all time in the Punjabi hip-hop scene. Revered for his music, the artist stands next to some of the biggest icons in Punjabi music including the late Sidhu Moosewala and Diljit Dosanjh.
Aujla’s stature in Indian rap elevated at an unprecedented scale after he performed a massive set at the iconic Wembley Stadium’s OVO Arena in London last year.
