Kr$na’s Guest Verse on Tegi Pannu’s Unreleased Single Surfaces on Streaming Platforms

In an unfortunate turn of events, Indian Hip-Hop superstar Kr$na’s guest verse on Tegi Pannu’s yet-to-be-released rap record “Chamkila” has surfaced online. While it has been a month since the track was first leaked on YouTube, “Chamkila” has further surfaced on Apple Music and Spotify.

While the track is unavailable for streaming on Spotify, rap listeners have pointed out that an unmastered and rough digital copy of the highly anticipated record can be heard on Apple Music. Interestingly, “Chamkila” features under Pannu’s Apple Music and Spotify profiles leading to unclear origins of the now-reported leak.

For Kr$na, this was meant to be his swift return to rap music. The legendary emcee and Kalamkaar affiliate has been on a brief hiatus since the “Time Will Tell” EP and a guest verse on Talha Anjum’s debut album “Open Letter”. As for Pannu, the record arrives amidst his latest 6-track EP “Switchin’ Lanes”.

For many, “Chamkila” is the Los Angeles, California-based Punjabi emcee’s biggest rap record this year. Earlier in April, Pannu linked up with Hip-Hop superproducer Money Musik on “Meant To Be”. The controversial leak has dented an extraordinary rollout of a record featuring India’s Hip-Hop tall figure.

Pannu is yet to release a statement about the controversy. Whether Pannu will refrain from releasing a mastered version of the rap record remain to be seen.
