Legendary Indian emcee, record producer, songwriter and Hip-Hop mogul Badshah, born Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, has finally released the lead single from his first studio album in nearly 4 years “Ek Tha Raja”.
Titled “Daaku”, the massive rap record features a guest verse by Indian pop singer Sharvi Yadav and arrives alongside an incendiary visual cut shot in Moscow, Russia. The single is produced by Hiten.
Amidst high anticipation and major shutdowns across the globe, including the historic Wembley Stadium in London and a headlining set at Untold Festival alongside marquee global artists including American rap superstars G-Eazy and Freddie Gibbs in Dubai last week, Badshah continues to disrupt rap music at unprecedented levels.
At first listen, “Daaku” draws influence from slick Brazilian bass and is mired by the rap pioneer’s extremely lethal bars.

With the release of “Daaku”, the Indian rap mogul now gears up for perhaps the most crucial records this year. In January, Badshah previewed at least 8 rap records from the forthcoming project including “Kalashnikov” and “Body Flow”.
At the time, Badshah confirmed features by Punjabi rap superstar & “Street Dreams” rapper Karan Aujla and another fierce emcee Kr$na. The “Gone Girl” rapper teased a collaboration with Kalamkaar‘s bossman Raftaar too.
Notably, Badshah is set to make an appearance on Indian rap pioneer Ikka‘s forthcoming studio album “Only Love Gets Reply” and a feature-for-feature doesn’t seem far-fetched.
Look out for Badshah’s third studio album “Ek Tha Raja”.
