Legendary Punjabi singer of Pakistani descent Imran Khan has returned with a huge new single. Titled “Deposit”, the single marks Khan’s disruptive foray into London Drill and serves as the lead single to his forthcoming sophomore album.
Notably, Khan’s discography is home to cult Punjabi pop records including the trailblazing hit single “Amplifier”, “Bewafa”, “Bounce Billo” and “Aaja Ve Mahiya”. For many, the breakthrough singer stands next to numerous breakout Punjabi singers and rappers such as Diljit Dosanjh, Badshah, Bohemia, Yo Yo Honey Singh and more.
Yesterday, Khan revealed the exclusive “Deposit” artwork via Instagram. Check it out below.
With the latest single, Khan has started the rollout of perhaps one of the most awaited albums by an Asian artist.
The Dutch Punjabi emcee released his debut and only studio album “Unforgettable” nearly 15 years ago and its impact can be felt across Indian Punjabi music even to this day.
The “Deposit” single arrives alongside a provocative visual cut. The flagrant music video captures Khan’s rap life as the veteran singer sports uptown London durags. Watch the visual cut below.
