Punjabi emcee, record producer and songwriter Wazir Patar has released his third flagrant gangsta rap single of the year. Titled “.45”, the single is produced by Patar and draws influence from classic New York Hip-Hop and consists of provocative beat switches from Punjabi folk to abrupt record scratches & 808s.
Notably, “.45” is Patar’s third gangsta rap single this year. In January, the “Malwa Block” record producer premiered two massive singles – “Executioner” and “See My Hype” on which Patar paid homage to legendary American rap group N.W.A.
For Patar, “.45” is his third single since releasing his sprawling sophomore album “Street Knowledge”, another incendiary gangsta rap EP “Back To Skool” and a slew of collaborations including “Semi-Auto” with Punjabi pop superstar Jordan Sandhu.
Released via Speed Records, “.45” further serves as the lead single of Patar’s forthcoming EP “Estrellas”. As per Patar, the project will traverse 5 tracks – “Chai-Latte”, “Gangsta Sh–“, “Insha Allah”, “Jahli Aashiq” and “.45”.
