Legendary emcee and songwriter Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. and oftentimes referred to as Weezy F. Baby, has released another single from his forthcoming rap LP “Tha Carter VI”.
Titled “Kat Food”, the single is produced by Charlie Handsome, FnZ and Rogét Chahayed. Further, the hard-hitting rap record samples Missy Elliot’s iconic rap mega classic “Work It” and credits Misdemeanour as a songwriter on the single.

Notably, “Kat Food” serves as the follow-up to Tha Carter VI‘s lead single “Kan’t Nobody”. Released in February this year, the Swizz Beatz-produced track samples another rap classic – “N*ggaz Done Started Something” by DMX.
“Kan’t Nobody” and “Kat Food” arrive amidst unprecedented anticipation for Wayne’s 14th studio album “Tha Carter VI”. One of the most influential artists of his generation, Wayne’s “Tha Carter VI” LP is a top-tier project that everyone has their eyes on.
During an interview with MTV on 12 March 2014, Lil Wayne stated that “Tha Carter V” is his “final album” and the last from the highly coveted “Tha Carter” LP series. “I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it’s definitely the final Carter album. It’s the final Carter album,” Wayne said to MTV at the time.
However, the legendary “A Milli” emcee was willing to make an exception if he got paid big bags for another LP. “25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this,” Wayne said. Perhaps, Wayne is paid.
Most recently, Lil Wayne linked up with NLE Choppa and Metro Boomin on “Cottonwood 2” and “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Soundtrack” respectively.
