Iconic Emcee LL Cool J pens down the history of Hip-hop Jewellery alongside A$ap Ferg, Kevin “Coach K’ Lee and Pierre “P” Thomas of Quality Control Music in the latest photobook by Taschen.
Titled’ Ice Cold: A Hip-Hop Jewellery History’ the book does a run-down of jewellery sets owned by Run-DMC, Eric B. & Rakim, Pharrell Williams and Jay-Z, to present-day megastars in Tyler, the Creator, Cardi B and Lil Nas X in a book primarily authored by Vikki Tobak.
Tobal takes a “40-year deep dive unearthing the gems, chains and over-the-top pieces that have defined hip-hop’s greatest figures” Hypebeast writes in its report.
The foreword to the book is written by Slick Rick who has delivered some of the classic records in hip-hop history such as ‘The Ruler’s Back’ and ‘Behind Bars’.
