Mumbai-based underground Hip-Hop emcee and lyricist Adi is slated to release ‘Maiti Nai’ this Friday. The ‘Testing Waters’ rapper took to Instagram to reveal his next single’s artwork. “The new sound of Indian hip-hop drops this Friday,” the young emcee wrote.
Adi revealed on the self-curated podcast ‘The Having Said that Show’ that the ‘Maiti Nai’ will be released alongside a music video which reportedly took “two weeks to finish” amidst an “eight-day shoot”.
Adi is behind some of the finest sounds in Indian Hip-Hop including the Testing Waters, Old Me Knew You and Pigeonholed EPs. Over the years, he has collaborated with Azadi Records’ Ahmer and Mdhv. Besides three hard-hitting deftly curated EPs, Adi is behind hit singles including Between the Lines, Back in Town f/ MDHV and the recently released 6 AM in Bombay and Who Are Ya Foolin’?
