Pusha T, Kendrick Lamar, Future & More Nominated at 2023 Grammy

Kendrick Lamar

The Recording Academy has announced the list of nominees for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. The award ceremony is slated to be held on February 5, 2023 in Los Angeles, California.

Compton-bred Pulitzer-winning emcee and lyricist Kendrick Lamar is nominated for eight Grammy Awards this year in categories including ‘Best Rap Album’, ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Best Rap Performance’, ‘Best Rap Song’ and more. Future & Mary J. Blige have six nominations each at the 65th Grammy Awards. Notably, Pusha T’s ‘It’s Almost Dry’ is nominated in the ‘Best Rap Album’ category only despite being one of most influential modern hip-hop records in recent times. ‘King Push’ isn’t nominated in the ‘Best Rap Performance’ category alongside Doja Cat, Glorilla, DJ Khaled, Future & Young Thug and more as well.

Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Mr. Morales & the Big Steppers’ and Mary J. Blige’s ‘Good Morning Gorgeous’ are just two full-length Rap and R&B records respectively nominated for ‘Album of the Year’.
