King push, better known as Pusha T, will be performing an exclusive set in Washington this week. The Bronx rapper has been performing the entire year during the ‘It’s Almost Dry’ Tour and has sold-out arenas and concert venues all over U.S.
Pusha T released his fourth studio album ‘It’s Almost Dry’ earlier this year. The 12-track record is a follow-up to ‘Daytona’ and sees the production by Kanye West, known as Ye, and Pharrel Williams. It also has guest appearances from some of the top-selling artists in hip-hop and fashion such as Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Lil Uzi Vert, Don Toliver, Labrinth and Pharrell and Ye themselves on ‘Neck & Wrist’ and ‘Diet Coke’ respectively.
Streetwear icon Nigo, who founded ‘A Bathing Ape’ and Billionaire Boys Club with Pharrell, also features on the record with ‘Hear Me Clearly’.
While there is widespread much anticipation around Pusha’s win at the Grammy’s, he was featured on the cover of this year’s Grammy Preview 2023 issue by Rolling Stones. Titled ‘Pusha T: The Rise and Reign of a Self-Made King’ – the story documents how The Bronx lyricist and emcee “defied unreal odds to reach his highest peak yet with ‘It’s Almost Dry’-and he’s still climbing”.
‘It’s Almost Dry’ has been Pusha T’s biggest hits of his career yet. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard’s Top 100 Chart and sold over 55,000 copies in its first week. Push had teased this album during the 2019 Grammys.
Besides appearing on the cover of Grammy Preview issue, Pusha T has been in the public eye since the record dropped. This isn’t his first cover issue either. Pusha T has previously appeared at the cover of Billboard’s ‘The Manager’s Issue’ and Highsnobiety. The rapper has been on a multi-city ‘It’s Almost Dry Tour’ and has made appearances over the ‘Late Show with Seth Myers’ and the ‘Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’. He had also pulled up for a live session at Vevo CTRL in August this year.
