The Weeknd – real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye – has released his latest single alongside an official lyric video. Titled ‘Nothing is Lost’, the single serves as the leading record for Avatar: The Way of Water Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The track is produced by the Swedish House Mafia and Simon Franglen.
“Been living this life so patient
Until I see you again, it’s war we’re facin’
I know that if I die, my only choice is still defending
No matter what they say
My love for you is greater than their powers
And their armies from above You give me strength
I’m with you either way
If I die, if I stay
Give me strength
I’m with you either way
Nothing’s lost, no more pain
Just give me strength,” Tesfaye sings over a cinematic avant-garde production.
The announcement has set massive waves across the globe since The Weeknd – real name Abel Tesfaye – is renowned for releasing some of the finest original motion picture scores including ‘Earned It’ and ‘Where You Belong’ for Sam Taylor Johnson-directed Fifty Shades of Grey and ‘Pray For Me’ alongside Kendrick Lamar for Ryan Coogler-directed ‘Black Panther’.
Notably, this will be the second release by the iconic ‘Blinding Lights’ singer following the release of his fifth studio album ‘Dawn FM’. Recently, he featured on Metro Boomin’s Creepin’ alongside 21 Savage.
