Weezy F. Baby – A.k.a. Lil Wayne – has resumed the Lil Weezyana fest after a long hiatus because of the coronavirus pandemic. Performing in New Orleans, Wayne performed a slew of his biggest records such as ‘A Milli’, DJ Khaled-produced ‘God Did’ alongside Rick Ross, ‘Drop the World’, ‘Uproar’ and more during a live set that lasted for well-over an hour and a half.
Though an appearance by Drake is always anticipated at live sets in Toronto and – especially when it’s a performance by Weezy – however, fans were surprised when Drake made an appearance in New Orleans.
Drake joined Wayne for ‘She Will’ – the T-minus produced sixth track on the latter’s iconic ninth studio album ‘The Carter IV’. Drake then went on to perform ‘The Motto’, ‘Jimmy Cooks’, ‘Knife Talk’, ‘Nonstop’, ‘God’s Plan’ and ‘In My Feelings’ live.
Watch his performance below:
Drake’s last album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ didn’t have a Wayne feature. However, the house music inspired album may not have fit Wayne’s hard-hitting and brash hip-hop influences. However, the Toronto-based iconic rapper has another collaborative project coming up with 21 Savage this week. Titled ‘Her Loss’, whether Wayne will get on the mic and drop bars on it remains to be seen.
