After a turbulent last year, Punjabi rap superstar Shubh, born Shubhneet Singh, has shocked his fans with his debut EP “Leo”. The flagrant Punjabi Hip-Hop project, which serves as the follow-up to his breakthrough debut album “Still Rollin”, traverses four new rap records – “King Shit”, “You And Me”, “Hood Anthem” and “Safety Off”.
The young Punjabi emcee, who shut down London last year as part of his sprawling “Still Rollin” world tour, is yet to release any visual cuts from the EP.
Considering the massive rollout of his debut album, which witnessed the release of four massive visual treatments – “Still Rollin”, “OG“, “Cheques“ and “Dior“, speculation that forthcoming visuals from the EP are on their way can’t be ruled out.
Just ahead of releasing “Leo”, Shubh shared the EP’s exclusive artwork with his fans via Instagram. Check it out below.
While Shubh released one of the finest Punjabi rap records last year, the emcee was met with abrupt and scathing criticism by an irked faction of Indian citizens. Reportedly, Shubh was forced to cancel the almost 2-month long tour in India and accused of encouraging separatism in India.
At the time, Sidhu Moose Wala’s parents, AP Dhillon & Karan Aujla expressed concerns over “politically motivated hatred” against Shubh.
