Britain’s top-tier emcee and songwriter Fredo, born Marvin William Bailey, has released his first verse since his infamous release from Dubai prison.
The marquee London rapper, who recently returned home after he was reportedly sentenced to five years in Dubai prison for “drug possession”, has joined forces with Stamford Hills’ iconic emcee Clavish on “Uh Uh”.
Originally slated to appear on Clavish’s sophomore mixtape “Chapter 16”, the single is produced by KP Beatz and arrives within days after Fredo was abruptly released from Dubai and assured his ardent fans that “it was an accident” and “mistakes happen”.
Even after the concerning setback, the “Dave Flow” rapper continues his flagrant run of lethal bars and remembers his ‘deceased affiliates’.
“Last year, I bought more pumps than trainers,
‘Cause I do them gunman favours,
You can go ask the street, he was fast to speak, now he’s fast asleep,
Why she actin’ hard to get? ‘Cause she knows I’m hard to keep
Nah, you don’t need any spa when the car got massagin’ seats
To my n—–, rest in peace, spent a milly on wet VVs,” Fredo raps on the hard-hitting single.
The notorious rapper further reminisces about his past imprisonment in Britain and gives his British fans their flowers.
“You ain’t livin’ like that, I’m in a war like I live in Iraq
He finished a pack and I gave him a rack
We’re fuckin’ it up, then I gave him a slap
Neck’s cold like it’s full of fever
And boys ride when I pull a lever
She don’t trust me, I wouldn’t either
I hit any girl I want like a woman beater
No blanket, four walls in a cold cell, the hood was my lover,” the British rap superstar raps further.
“Uh Uh” arrives alongside a provocative visual cut filmed in Dubai and marks Clavish’s sophomore lead single from the “Chapter 16” mixtape. As per the British rapper, the LP is set to be released on 19th April 2024.
Just ahead of “Uh Uh”, Clavish released a brief mixtape trailer with his fans. Watch the top-tier trailer and “Uh Uh” music video featuring Fredo below.
With the release of “Uh Uh”, the British rapper now nears his debut single with legendary Punjabi emcee Sidhu Moose Wala and “The Playlist“ producer Steel Banglez.
Titled “Attached”, the single was first announced by the British-Punjabi producer last summer and will mark Moosa’s 6th posthumous rap record.
Recently, Grammy-winning Afrorap & Dancehall artist Burna Boy remembered Moose Wala amidst his historic live set in Toronto.
In other news, British Punjabi emcee Raf-Saperra has released his debut EP “5 Deadly Venomz” with incendiary features by BET “Lyricist of The Year” nominee and legendary N.Y. emcee Conway The Machine, Harlem’s Nas prodigy Dave East, Big Boy Bes and Punjabi singer Japjeet Sandhu.
