London’s Superproducer Steel Banglez Releases Debut Album ‘The Playlist’ F/ Sidhu Moose Wala, Aitch, Clean Bandit, Burna Boy, Giggs, Tion Wayne & More

After high anticipation, Punjabi & UK Hip-Hop superproducer Steel Banglez, born Pahuldip Singh Sandhu, has finally released his star-studded debut rap album “The Playlist”. With a runtime of over an hour and fifteen minutes, the album features hard-hitting guest verses by numerous British rap pioneers including Giggs, Tion Wayne, Burna Boy, Clean Bandit, Aitch, Asco, Blade, Mo Stack, Chip, King Promise and more.

Notably, the album features Sidhu Moose Wala’s third posthumous effort “Mera Na” alongside Afrorap superstar Burna Boy. Banglez’s debut LP is perhaps the biggest rap record from the British rap scene this year. Besides regular British rap heavy-hitters, Banglez has recruited most of the leading U.K. emcees and record producers on the album.

For the London-based record producer, his debut full-length album matches Metro Boomin’s sprawling star-studded records to some degree. After Moose Wala, Banglez’s “The Playlist” LP is one of the biggest rap records by an artist of Indian descent.

As reported earlier, Banglez’s debut LP is his personal “take on the current state of music” amidst the “streaming era”. “The playlist album is also a representation of the current streaming era, and it reflects my take on the current state of music. It is my vision to push the boundaries and explore new sounds while staying true to my love for music,” Banglez said about the record.

“To all the aspiring musicians and artists out there, I want to remind you that the road to success is never easy, but it is always worth it. Keep chasing your dreams, no matter how hard the journey may seem. Believe in yourself, and the law of attraction will work in your favour. every obstacle is an opportunity to learn and grow,” Banglez added.

Notably, the London-based superproducer has dedicated his debut album to the late Sidhu Moose Wala. Banglez, who frequently worked with Moosa on numerous hard-hitting rap records, asserted that this album is a “tribute… to God and to our fallen soldiers – Anjeet Virdi & Sidhu Moosewala, who continue to look down on us from the heavens above.”

Steel Banglez’s debut album arrives amidst the Punjabi rap superstar Shubh releasing his debut album “Still Rollin” earlier today. Read everything about Shubh’s debut LP ‘Still Rollin’ here.
