Kashmiri emcee & songwriter Ahmer, born Ahmer Javed, has released his sophomore solo single this year. Titled “ek din”, the single is produced by Xplicit and arrives within nearly a month after the former Azadi Records affiliate and Straight Outta Srinagar joined forces on the “Pendown” single.
For Ahmer, the single arrives ahead of his last mixtape post which the “Azli” emcee is slated to retire from rap music.

Last summer, Ahmer announced his abrupt announcement from rap music. At the time, the fierce Srinagar-bred emcee announced his last mixtape “out of love for rap music”.
The rapper further went on to release two new songs – “Rant” & “Priceless” in November after the shocking announcement.
In other news, Ahmer’s former Azadi Records affiliates Seedhe Maut have closed out their massive “Lunch Break India Tour”. The trailblazing rappers, Calm & Encore ABJ, are now gearing up for their forthcoming album “Kavi Kehna Chahte Hai”.
