Reports are coming in that ahead of his debut collaborative effort with legendary slain Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, top-tier London emcee Fredo, born Marvin William Bailey, has been sentenced to five years in a Dubai prison for “drug possession”.
The “Dave Flow” rapper, who was arrested in Dubai late last year over possession of cannabis, has declined to comment on the concerning development.
The UAE metropolis, which has become the bastion for another Punjabi rap superstar Karan Aujla, has a strict zero-tolerance policy for the possession of drugs and Fredo risked being sentenced to at least three years during his arrest in October.
As per reports, Fredo’s drug charges might have been pushed to the “intention of supply” and now faces imprisonment for five years.
Besides featuring on “Attached” by Steel Banglez & Sidhu Moose Wala later this year, the rapper’s discography is home to numerous London rap classics including his most recent studio album “Unfinished Business”, “Toxic Trait” alongside Stormzy, “Meant To Be” alongside Stay Flee Get Lizzy and breakout U.K. rapper Central Cee & more.
