Breaking: Atlanta’s Rap Superstar 21 Savage Announces First Album in 6 Years ‘American Dream: the 21 Savage Story’, Releases This Friday

Atlanta’s hard-hitting rapper and songwriter 21 Savage, born Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, has just announced his biopic film “American Dream”. The forthcoming film, which is set to feature Don Toliver and Stranger Things’ actor Caleb McLaughlin as Savage at different points in the rapper’s life, will be supported by a new album too.

Reportedly, the film is directed by Stephen Glover, Jamal Olori, Fam Udeorji and Luis Perez and further features “Bel-Air” actor Jabari Banks playing Metro Boomin and comedian Druski. As per Savage, the film drops on July 4th, 2023 and the official soundtrack drops on Friday.

Most recently, Savage linked up with Travis Scott and Rob 49 in the “Topia Twins” music video and made an appearance on Activision’s “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” video game.

Besides the two sprawling guest features, “The Slaughter King” further appeared on “To Be Eaten Alive” by Mariah The Scientist, “For All The Dogs” by Drake, “I Told Them…” by Afrorap & Dancehall superstar Burna Boy, “Magic 2” by Nas, “Business is Business” by Young Thug and more.

The forthcoming soundtrack LP is Savage’s first solo album in nearly six years and serves as the follow-up to his rap megaclassic “I Am > I Was”.
