Amidst high anticipation for his sprawling rap album “Karam”, electronic dance music, hip-hop & trap superproducer Kshmr, born Niles Hollowell-Dhar, has released the sophomore single from the album.
Titled “Bhussi”, the hard-hitting rap record features fiery verses by Calm and Encore ABJ – the men helming the rap capital Delhi via the incendiary rap supergroup Seedhe Maut, and Gully Gang’s ruthless record producer Karan Kanchan.
The track arrives after an abrupt announcement by the iconic producer and DJ earlier this week. “Bhussi” is released through the coveted rap record label Mass Appeal India.
Ever since the track dropped at midnight, Seedhe Maut’s fans have stormed KSHMR and Mass Appeal India’s social media to finally reveal the LP’s tracklist.
Reportedly, KSHMR will further drop the “Bhussi” visual treatment on July 6th, 2023 and has revealed an affecting preview of the music video. Check out the hard-hitting preview and “Bhussi” artwork here.
“Bhussi” is a moniker for Seedhe Maut’s massive influence on the Indian Hip-Hop scene. The phrase “Bhussi Bhar Di”, which roughly translates to maddening moshpits at Seedhe Maut’s concerts, has become an Indian Hip-Hop mainstay and stands next to MC Stan’s “P-Town” or Emiway Bantai‘s “Kya Bolti Public.”
As reported earlier, “Bhussi” serves as the follow-up to KSHMR’s wildly popular rap record and Karam‘s lead single “Haath Varthi” featuring MC Stan and Indian rap’s influential record producer Phenom.
The impact of “Bhussi” isn’t just limited to KSHMR’s debut rap album “Karam”. Seedhe Maut itself is gearing up for the “Lunch Break” mixtape. Releasing on July 15th, 2023, the highly anticipated LP will reportedly feature 30 rap records.
In fact, Seedhe Maut premiered the lead single “W” last week and further stirred massive conversation about the project.
